Question for you pie bakers...

I have a bag of mixed frozen berries and want to make a pie with them. There are recipes for cooking the berries first and there are recipes that don't call for cooking them (they all include sugar & cornstarch for thickening).

Anyone know which turns out better? Cooked or just left frozen?
It would be safer to cook to boiling so that the corn starch thickens evenly.

OMG! Those look sooooo good! Darn it, now I want pizza and I don't have cheese. :th

Made pizzas today. Went down well. Not made them for a bit.

Aria, good to see you back. So sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts.
Thank you. I was wishing for pizza...but not in a mood to make. Would like a piece of yours. Hopefully I will get to make some soon. Have not been in the best of spirits. Regards, Aria

My mother precooked her berry fillings and they set up very nicely.
