Very true. Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats every day or something like that.

Being a fisherman, I can relate to that.

My husband dug a pond for our ducks. They never wanted to come in. Our ducks were loads of work for us. Chickens not so much. Aria

I do think that the extra work of maintaining a pond would be a big factor in work load!
