The ratio is three to one for dried versus fresh in a recipe.I have a question I know someone here can answer.
I have a lovely oregano plant that is growing very well. How do I use fresh oregano in a recipe? I use a scant teaspoon of dried oregano when I make spaghetti sauce. How much fresh would I use instead? Just leaves, or can I use the stem parts too?
Have fun with the guests from Japan!2 things.
First, I have 2 friends from Japan coming to stay for the summer. I will try to get some authentic Japanese recipes from them. They get here tonight.
Second, I took this photo with a telescope and an astronomy app last night. It’s the Ring Nebula.

It is here too and you know our winters are a LOT harsher than yours. I guess oregano is one tough plant. Here Oregano is a perennial that does well in the winter outside.
I love it!Cool photo Jared.
Do your friends speak English? Do you speak Japanese? Do they have plans other than just hanging out?

The one here is a piece of the plants we had at the old house. Not sure how old it is but most likely well over 20 years.I have had oregano growing outside at three places since 1985.
My oldest plant here was planted in 2000 so is a similar age as yours! The one here is a piece of the plants we had at the old house. Not sure how old it is but most likely well over 20 years.
