Any Home Bakers Here?

Those look great! Bet they were yummy

We had company this weekend - a friend was replacing the rubber roof on his 5-wheel camper he picked up last fall for a really good price. DH and he went to the local bakery yesterday morning and brought home a Kringle. It was a special, limited time flavor made just for fathers day - Old Fashioned - and yes, it tastes a lot like the adult beverage. Those of you not from Wisconsin may not understand, but it is yummy. They used actual Brandy in the filling, lol. We cut into it and could smell the alcohol vapors.

Now I want a drink.

My Mom has a SunBeam stand mixer - it is probably 30 years old now. It is a nice unit, but she doesn't use it much because it is heavy and she keeps it in the bottom cabinet ... too heavy for her to lift to countertop to use it.
I had the 5 qt., tilt top KitchenAid. It was a touch small for some of my recipes so DH bought me a 7qt. lift bowl style KA. I love it. I have a grinder, a shredder, a pasta roller and the ice cream maker attachments for it. The newer grinder attachment is a piece of junk, I am scrounging it for parts to keep my old grinder attachment going, lol. The rest of the attachments are great.
I have had a couple of kitchen aid grinders. The body was plastic so they cracked and broke on me.

I have this one now: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Chef-s-C...He_iH92HvWP71UjQvehoCMcUQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

It has been working well for me for about 5 years or so now.

I love Kitchen Aid too! One thing that was important to me is how the bowl attaches . My mom had one, possibly with the tilt head, where the bowl actually sort of screwed onto the base. Easy and simple to assemble but after kneading bread dough almost impossible to remove! I’d have to put the whole thing on the floor, brace it between my feet and wrestle with it, When I bought mine I got one that lifts the bowl up and locks. Much better!
I got my KA tilt head mixer 9 years ago, and, while I really like it, I think I would prefer one that lifts the bowl.

Philadelphia roll, California roll, and a Dragon roll. Friends from Japan were impressed.
