Any Home Bakers Here?

I'd love some recommendations here from anyone who has a stand mixer, or has recently purchased one. I've been mixing cakes for years with a little electric hand mixer, but tonight the poor little mixer gave out on me. I've been wanting a stand mixer, but I just would love some input onto a good brand to use and what your experiences with your own (and the brand name) have been if you are willing to share. And then, I'll eventually have one on my Christmas ideas list with my husband :)
I love Kitchen Aid too! One thing that was important to me is how the bowl attaches . My mom had one, possibly with the tilt head, where the bowl actually sort of screwed onto the base. Easy and simple to assemble but after kneading bread dough almost impossible to remove! I’d have to put the whole thing on the floor, brace it between my feet and wrestle with it, When I bought mine I got one that lifts the bowl up and locks. Much better!

My tilt head locks into place, but not like the ones of yesteryear. I do remember the KitchenAid of my youth… many many many many many many many many many many many many years ago. I was afraid to get the lift one because I was afraid the arms would break with a heavy bowl.

Yeah this was many many many years ago! Since I’ve been doing sourdough I haven’t used the Kitchen Aid.
