camellia tree cuttings

i had a coworker bring me some camellia tree cuttings , i have them in water right now and have stripped off some of the bark on the bottom, i was wondering if anyone has propagated camellia cuttings before with any success ?
 
I did it with about 20 cuttings of various camellia species/varieties with “some” success (maybe 20-30%…but I don’t really remember).
Root tone will help , and you might consider a “tent” method to keep humidity high while they root. It can take 6-8 weeks to root.
 
good morning , thanks so much for responding , i used the root growth hormone from lowes and dipped them in honey as well and they are still alive as of this morning :)
 
So I have been watching and its losing all its leaves , is there still a chance it will survive
I wouldn't give up hope just yet, but I am doubtful.
No harm in inspecting the base for signs of rot, but this would still be too early for roots to have formed.
