camellia tree cuttings

i had a coworker bring me some camellia tree cuttings , i have them in water right now and have stripped off some of the bark on the bottom, i was wondering if anyone has propagated camellia cuttings before with any success ?

I did it with about 20 cuttings of various camellia species/varieties with “some” success (maybe 20-30%…but I don’t really remember).
Root tone will help , and you might consider a “tent” method to keep humidity high while they root. It can take 6-8 weeks to root.

I think I took my cuttings too early, so you may have better success rate.

good morning , thanks so much for responding , i used the root growth hormone from lowes and dipped them in honey as well and they are still alive as of this morning

Cinnamon makes my plants root very fast!! Just my tip I recommend

I wouldn't give up hope just yet, but I am doubtful.
No harm in inspecting the base for signs of rot, but this would still be too early for roots to have formed.
