Our prayers for rain during this rough drought have finally been answered. Rain storm!
 
I roasted a chicken that was originally my Christmas chicken this morning. I've boiled the bones and juices to make a soup.
Hopefully your Christmas chicken has been hanging out in the freezer!

Making some pancakes this morning! We finally got a new nonstick fry pan after 10 years of one that probably leached Lord knows what into our food. I will be the utensil Nazi-- metal utensils verboten!
The problem I have with "non stick" pans is that after a time they lose their non stick (to the point of throwing out 2 pizzas with gray bottoms a year or so back) and become MORE stick than a regular pan. Then you throw them in the landfill and buy new ones. Rinse and repeat in a few of years.

Never have to throw out a cast iron or straight steel pan because it is no longer safe to use ;)

I use mine all the time - usually for making fresh whipped cream, lol! We like slightly sweetened, whipped cream on fresh berries for dessert.
Great for making mayonnaise too! And eggs for French Toast or omelettes, etc.

Yippee!!! Did it also cool down some? Been way too hot over your way lately.
