Any Home Bakers Here?

This winter, I want to get into baking more. I really want to make a GF pizza dough that non-GF hubby will like, so we can have pizza night. And so I can stop buying frozen pizzas.

I know I won't have time until the garden is put to bed and the canning is done.
Well, with different GF flours that can be sticky, putting them on parchment could solve a lot of problems..

I have used a pizza dough recipe from Americas Test kitchen that works fairly well. Do you have their book?

The book is called: The How can it be Gluten Free Cookbook by America's Test Kitchen.
One of the most underrated and overlooked little books is “Focaccia,” by Carol Field. It has a basic white wine and olive oil focaccia that any beginner even first time baker could use to turn out a terrific bread. It’s a small, paperback cover, yellow with a focaccia on the front. Focaccia is perfect for beginners, but sophisticated enough for any level baker, and super satisfying..(not gluten free, sorry, I don’t have much experience with that..)

You know, you can do black bean, snow pea and ginger chicken pizza, all sorts of non Italian things are really spectacular..variation on stir fry veges, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, peanut satay, infinite variants..
You can use extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder black pepper and cheese ...this is the White Pizza. Cheese your choice. Aria

You can also make 2 pizzas, one for him and one for you. We order two when we get it out because DH likes red sauce thick enough to mortar a brick in and I Iike the cheesy veggie ones with Italian sausage.

Well I can’t claim nearly that many cookbooks but my shelves look just like that! :highfive: Books on top of books. Books in front of books. Books under other books. One time we donated 23 grocery bags of books to a school that was just getting a library started. My neighbor Mary said “I’m coming up to see all the empty shelves!” DH and I were laughing because the place looked exactly the same, but the look of shock on her face was priceless!
