Its a giant house spider (UK). They are closly related to the Hobo spider.

DH caught it under that glass and let it go outside. We had another smaller one run across the living room last night.

A big harvestmen spider scared me half to death the other day too.

Its spider time of year.
Thanks, Floydie. I always love being educated!

Agreed. But if I see a wolf spider I am booking to the other way. Those things are huge and I think deadly. We have a daddy long legs in the conex box and his name if Ben the wasp eater. He ate the wasp nest.
No, no! Wolf spiders are the best! They kill black widows and brown recluse spiders and are very gentle. I know they look scary but my kids are under strict orders to not molest them. I always squat down and talk to them when I see them. They see very well. I thank them for their services. I will also protect them from my cats. I don't see them often but I know they are on duty because I never see the bad spiders any more.

Oh good to know

Yikes, that was a close call!
Yes, it was 😳 lucky for me I had my egg grabber for getting the eggs in the pasture. They like to lay them in the far corner that we can't reach, so we bought the grabber thing. I now use it for knocking spiderweb out of my way. I will not kill a spider unless I have to.

On a funny note, when I looked at my picture it made me think of a chicken ready to be cooked 🤷

This last weekend was so packed with chicken integration and a new puppy (who is doing very well) that I went back to bed after I got the chickens up and slept for 2 hours. Puppy beside me.

So no baking, but I'll get grownies going before bed and back them in the morning. It's still going to be a bit warm by midday to run the oven.

I used to heat up the condensed milk in the tin stood in hot water but was told this is not a healthy way too go, heating any food in the tins causes health and potential mental problems as well
I suspect that was true when they sealed the can edges with lead. I'm pretty sure they haven't done that for many years .... at least not in the USA. And the EU (which you USED to be part of) tends to have more strict environmental and health restrictions than we do.

This shop keeps canceling the good produce because I called the farm too enquire why it was taken off our area
Time to get a River buffalo!! :D

Gluten is a protein in wheat, barley, and rye. So if any of those are in a recipe, it will have gluten in it.
You have to watch oats as well. Apparently oats and wheat are often rotated on a single field and the oat plants can pick up wheat gluten from the soil.

tangzhong technique
??

Some spiders are beautiful, but a BR? Just no.
Plus they are quite poisonous, glad hers isn't a BR.

Those things are huge and I think deadly.
Nope, wolf spiders are not poisonous. But yeah they can get pretty darn big!
