Question:

What soups and/or meals go well with sourdough bread?

Hmmm. I had tuna salad on my sourdough bread tonight. I would eat it with a potato soup, or I would eat a creamy, cheesy potato soup IN a sourdough boule ... Seriously, Jared, anything you would eat bread with, would go well with sourdough! Steak and potatoes with sourdough to sop up the gravy or juices? Check! A big, sloppy salad? You bet! Oh maaan, it's almost ten o'clock and now I'm drooling! I wouldn't eat sourdough with ice cream or tacos. Anything else, yeah, probably!

Okay ... Maybe a sweetened sourdough biscuit cut open, with a drizzle of honey, served with a dollop of maple ice cream on top, drizzled with salted caramel and chocolate sauce over all, and a handful of toasted candied pecans on top for crunch.

Whattaya say to that?

Clam chowder with sourdough bread bowls is a classic!

I do like sourdough bread with most soups though. I prefer corn bread with chili types of soup though
