Made 3 loaves Sourdough Seeded Multigrain today.
The front loaves I made a different shape...the shape
was shared from my friend in New Foundland. Take
3 pieces of dough....l like you were going to shape a roll and put 3 of them in a 9 x 5 tin. The first loaf is
shaped that way...other two loaves are all one. Aria

Looks soooooo good.

I've only had a couple lay that early. Generally speaking anywhere from 23 to 28 weeks is "normal" for the girls I've gotten. Some a few weeks younger or older. 23 weeks for my pullets will be mid November. All the older girls will have quit well before then.

I have 16 pullets that are made up of Barred Rock - 6, Rhode Island Reds - 6, and Golden Links - 4.

Some of them started laying two days prior to being 18 weeks old.

They laid 6 eggs in August and so far 19 eggs in September.

I'm just waiting for their eggs to get a bit bigger.

My eggs are very low, I did not have enough to be able to supply my customers' orders as I was only able to deliver 1 dozen instead of 2 dozen each.

I still have 6 Isa Browns and they lay from 1 egg to 4 eggs a day.

Place eggs on trivit and fill with water so the eggs are not touching the water. 5 minutes at high pressure for perfect hard boiled eggs. manual release the pressure, then right into the ice water bath.
I did 8 eggs and not a single one had a problem peeling.
I will try the 3 minutes for soft boiled eggs like @ronott1 suggested. I love jammy yolks on toast.

Quail eggs take one minute and then quick release and into ice water.

I only have 4 quail hens now. We lost one a few months back, the other one I think choked on something last year :(.

They are being funny with egg laying at the moment. Last week we got a dozen 2 or 3 eggs a day. Now we are back to 1 a day. I think the weather isnt helping. It was really hot, then cold and rainy, back to hot again..
Last year we got eggs from them all year round.
They will be 2 years old next spring so egg laying may start to drop off more.
I use them to make omelette and in baking if I have enough.
I have (mild) psoriasis so I got them for the health benifit. I dont know if I will replace them when they go or not.. I want to have less animals when the children are a bit older (pre teen and teens atm).. so theres less for others to look after if me and OH start to get away. Plus my health gives me worries so less for me to do would be good. DD helps me with the animals atm.
We still have over 20 guinea pigs too (most are OAPs). We had 60/70 when the kids were younger and we used to show them.

Edit: I ended up spending the last hour looking at our old website. Some happy memories there.
