Any Home Bakers Here?

I made the Fresh Peach Clafoutis last night. It is so good!
The recipe was posted on this thread and is in the spreadsheet.
Even DH liked it. He thinks it would be good with berries also, and I think he is right.
I wonder, will the recipe will work with frozen berries?
I find peach recipes other than pies work very well by replacing 1/2 the peaches with berries. It is especially good if the berries are black raspberries.

When using frozen berries I tend to thaw the berries because the frozen ones cause it to take longer to bake. That can cause the pastry portion to get over or under cooked depending on which way youo go.

Bakers good morning one and all!

Got some bananas that looked like they would be ready in a day or so to make Banana Nut Bread.

Have a great day.
I quit going by looks of the bananas for using them in recipes. I now go by taste. When the bananas taste perfect is when I use them.

I only have 4 quail hens now. We lost one a few months back, the other one I think choked on something last year :(.

They are being funny with egg laying at the moment. Last week we got a dozen 2 or 3 eggs a day. Now we are back to 1 a day. I think the weather isnt helping. It was really hot, then cold and rainy, back to hot again..
Last year we got eggs from them all year round.
They will be 2 years old next spring so egg laying may start to drop off more.
I use them to make omelette and in baking if I have enough.
I have (mild) psoriasis so I got them for the health benifit. I dont know if I will replace them when they go or not.. I want to have less animals when the children are a bit older (pre teen and teens atm).. so theres less for others to look after if me and OH start to get away. Plus my health gives me worries so less for me to do would be good. DD helps me with the animals atm.
We still have over 20 guinea pigs too (most are OAPs). We had 60/70 when the kids were younger and we used to show them.

Edit: I ended up spending the last hour looking at our old website. Some happy memories there.
I am trying to keep around 6 hens. That is a manageable number and I can go away for several days with auto water fountains and the big bucket feeder.

Longer than there would need to be someone to tend to them.

I don't have an Instant Pot but use a "only has one function" pressure cooker. The recipe from Google is 6 minutes at low pressure, take off the heat for 5 more minutes. Quick release then into 4 cups water with 4 cups ice cubes. Peel like a dream!
I use 7 minutes under pressure for hard boiled chicken eggs and then quick release.
