@ronott1 thanks to you, I think I saved it. I left it out last night in a bowl so the yeast could replenish after taking your advice about the apple cider vinegar. I’m going to feed it twice for a couple of days, like you said.

So far, it looks like I saved it.
It looks good!

It could if I made it!

Last night I made King Arthur's Vermont Whole Wheat Oatmeal Honey bread. Since I've never made it before I followed the recipe without alterations.

Rose nicely in the bowl. Didn't rise well in the pans. SHOULD have looked like your bread but was only half height. Don't know what I did wrong.
Thanks for the recipe!

Are you higher altitude? I am at 2800 ft, so no need for me to adjust baking times. I tried some of the tips here (just for the starter, I use a different bread recipe) and it improved my loaves considerably:

Oh, and hi from a new chicken keeper! I'm a long time cookie and cake enthusiast. I began baking bread during the pandemic, including sourdough. I've been enjoying Amish friendship bread as well!

It's been a year since I've bougkht bread :woot
Thanks!

I am at 70ft so do not have to deal with high altitude baking!

I got 2 lbs of Gala apples Thursday on sale for $0.59/lb! They were on display very close to the entrance, and I told my husband I HAD to get some (especially since they're MI apples). Now I just need to remember that I have them. I'm thinking apple pancakes for breakfast to start.

I've never been happy with the brownies I make (even using my mom's tried and true recipe), but really enjoy the Ghiradelli Triple Fudge boxed mix. The other week I searched for a new super fudgy recipe, and it turned out REALLY good! It is pretty easy to halve the recipe, too (if you don't have 4 eggs on hand). https://www.chewoutloud.com/chewy-t...-goodbye-box/#tasty-recipes-13784-jump-target
Thanks! They look like very good brownies.
