Any Home Bakers Here?

I know, thank you! 😁

I once made dumplings homemade as well, the family loved them and then I used the rest for dumpling soup the next day. I had maybe about 20+ dumplings if I remember right. 😅
My dumpling recipe makes about 12 dumplings-- the chicken and dumplings type not the Asian type though

If you shop at Walmart you can find the square jars with the hinged top that are not too costly.
I’ve been reading up on keeping a smaller starter and building levains in smaller jars. I see the Weck’s come in a six-pack for $20 in something akin to a pint jar.

That would give me a couple for starters and a jar for leavening and still have a couple let over for other stuff. I’m considering that angle, but I’m in no hurry if I can make a couple of canning jars pull the load. I have plenty of those.

Hi, I'm a soup-making enthusiast! 😋 I make Italian soups mostly Zuppa Toscana, chicken noodle soup, and I made a custom soup that I call Mexican pepper steak!
I found one based on Hungarian goulash that was a keeper. Another one I did today was lentils and kale, except by the time I finished substituting the ingredients I didn’t have with the ones I did, it kinda’ wasn’t the same recipe. It turned out to be a keeper, too.
