Well, my sourdough starter is officially dead.
I pulled it out - took out 2 tablespoons and added 2 tablespoons of flour and 2 tablespoons of water and set it on the counter to work overnight. Nothing happening. Smelled like wet flour. Stirred again and added a little more flour. A day later it is a gray slurry and smells like mud - sorta. Just a wrong smell. It was a decent sourdough starter, but never seemed very strong. I got that one from a friend of a friend.
I guess I will send 5 buck's donation to Carl's Starter and get some "Oregen Trail" sourdough start.

I'm sorry your starter kicked the bucket.

You know, I don't know if I ever came back and thanked you. A while ago you pointed me in the right direction to help me figure out I had to adjust my GF baking because of my new altitude. Something I had not considered because technically I'm not that elevated, but indeed making adjustments helped, so thank you! :)

Don’t hold the funeral just yet unless it’s already been buried…..feed it but substitute pineapple juice for the water.
