Any Home Bakers Here?

I'm making yogurt with my new starter today. If I make Greek yogurt with Bulgarian starter, will it work? :lau

Wellllll.... The yogurt is thinner than what I usually get. It's draining right now. There will be a lot of whey for the blueberries! :)
Not to worry! Yogurt started from a packet is often thinner the first time it is used. It will be thicker next time.

Remember to save enough yogurt from this batch to start the next one.

Thank you! I was wondering if that were the case. It's also rather bland. Will the flavor "develop" a bit too?

I have some saved in a jar marked "yogurt starter" so I know not to eat it. :thumbsup
 
Those of you who feed sourdough discard to the chickens - how and how soon?
I feed it before any hooch forms to make sure I’m not feeding them a lot of alcohol. I mix it with either oats or feed and leave it on the counter overnight and feed in the morning
