This is my version of TACO PIZZA. . It is different than the taco pizzas I used to get at a pizzeria in Savanah Illinois. They also put grass on top of their pizzas. My version is grass free.
BTW,,, :gig grass equals shredded lettuce.:frow
Just to mention a truth,,, I did like the Savannah Pizza. :drool:drool:drool
Here is play by play.
Made the Taco Meat. I used one pound ground beef, and one pound ground turkey.

Turned skillet on angle, and collected the liquid portion into cup

Poured that liquid into bowl containing refried beans. The refried beans in picture are already warmed up in a microwave to be somewhat loose. I also always use fat free refried beans. REASON; other refried beans that do contain fat,, usually the fat is LARD. I did not want the lard to affect the taste.

This is how the refried beans with taco gravy look. I use Taco Seasoning packet, and some Cowboy Chili powder, (plus water) to fry up my taco meat. The chili powder is optional, but I wanted to zest the flavor a little. :celebrate

I put about ½ of the bowl quantity on my pizza dough.

I spread it and it looks like below.

Added about ½ of my meat quantity and spread it as pictured below.

Ready for the oven. I bake my pizzas @ 450°F. This one was ready in about 17 minutes.

Notes..
The meat is pre-cooked, and so are the refried beans. After 17 minutes, I peeked into oven, and seen the dough with a nice oven spring,,, and the Cheese nicely melted. Baking times can vary depending on oven,,, oven temperature setting, and such. Most of my pizzas are baked from 15 to 20 minutes. The heavier pizzas with more ingredients I usually go towards the 20 minute time.

Here is my HAWAII FIVE-O pizza. It has no meat.

Play by play.
BBQ sauce instead of Tomato based sauce. My choice is Sweet Baby Rays:drool:drool,, Pineapple tidbits, (well drained) my choice, over chunks, (they are small pieces that do not need to be cut further). Basil leaves seasoning. (sprinkled over cheese). Red onion sliced to be rings. Not pictured,,,, Mushrooms and peppers.
