Looking around in my kitchen today,,, I see a batch of ripe bananas. So naturally an IDEA pops into my thinking. I jump into the index and pull up @Aria Banana bread recipe.

I doubled the quantity of the recipe, and used machines to do my work for me. That is the reason I'm posting Play By Play.
Followed the recipe to a T :thumbsup
Play by Play.
Took a pix of the screen so I can just have on the counter on my phone,,, Handy place, rather than running to computer screen. I DOUBLED THE QUANTITY OF RECIPE.

Poured into 2 round pans,,,, lined with parchment. Violation #2:old:gig Yes you do see my addition of streusel. I keep a quantity on hand for next baking in refrigerator. This way I don't need to make it every time. I consider this a cake:drool:drool:drool, not a bread.

Colorado for example claims ownership of all rainwater. It is illegal there to capture the rainwater for a person's own use..
The first time I read about a state NOT allowing rainwater collection, I thought it was a joke. Thank goodness Michigan doesn't do that.

Making yogurt today. Chilly (40s), rainy, chance of severe storms tomorrow. We have been SO LUCKY with our weather. Not like much of the country. DH can complain about the lack of skiable snow, but we have been very fortunate, and I keep reminding him.

On April 14th, I am heading to North Idaho for a wild turkey hunt. Season starts April 15. I will be hunting for about a week.
Good luck!

It took over 8 weeks to get it replaced ( of course the hottest 2 months) and the government is considering putting meters on garden wells so then you’d have to pay as much as using city water
Put an old fashioned rope and bucket over the well then see if the government can figure out how to meter that without someone watching each bucket come up ;)

I do have a 5000 L tank, but since our soil is almost all sand, it is empty after a week of irrigating the garden when the sun shines and no rain ( as usual) has fallen
Do you have a drip watering system? Much less wasted water when you water each plant or row of plants rather than "raining" on everything.

I sometimes long for the cold! We have hot summers which sometimes last til the end of September…temperatures usually go up in May and the heat wave stays til the middle of September , very little precipitation, only bearable in fall cos the days finally get shorter ! We’ve got a serious water shortage problem, with receding ground water, so, be happy you have it wet ;) I do have a garden well (17m deep) but last year the only 2-year old pump died on me, thank God it still had warranty but…. It took over 8 weeks to get it replaced ( of course the hottest 2 months) and the government is considering putting meters on garden wells so then you’d have to pay as much as using city water
My City will not let you use a well if in the city. One of the high schools got caught and fined for doing that!
