Any Home Bakers Here?

Since I will be “out” at least 4 weeks after the 1st hip surgery, I’m going to try that too, I wasn’t aware you could do that !
I got my first SDS from @ronott1, it came dried if I remember correctly. But I didn't understand the process. It seemed very confusing and wasteful to me (all that "discard!", lol!), and I ended up killing it. I got another start recently from my pastor's daughter, did a lot more research and am having the time of my life with it. By all means dry and/ or freeze some for when you are back on your feet! And if you need a fresh start, just holler. Either I or Ron will be happy to kick-start you again by sending you a fresh batch!

I have posted about a completely different way to keep starter going!

I mix up 90G of water and 90G of flour and then add a tablespoon of starter. I then let it get bubbly, use 90G and save the rest for next time. There is not much discard left!

Two things:

First is baking related. We picked up a whole octopus at the market today. We’re gonna try and make a Japanese recipe called Takoyaki. If we are successful, I will post the recipe.

Secondly, while I was working in the garden, I noticed that my dog was laying right where my rabbit Sophie passed away. I went closer to him to see if he was OK, and he was. He got up and moved. After moving, I happened to come across what appears to be a piece of my rabbits jaw bone.

For reference, my rabbit passed away January 18th of this year. After she died naturally, a feral cat came and tore apart her jaw. I guess I missed a bone when I was picking up pieces of her to bury.

Out of respect for my rabbits grave, I can’t just dig up the spot, and bury the bones I found with the rest of the rabbit.

What should I do with these? Bury them in a different spot?

I just need an opinion.
