Any Home Bakers Here?

I’ve been baking bagels lately. Yesterday was another batch of cookies. I know there were fifteen on that tray before my housemate put them in the oven for me.

I’ve only made plain bagels. I don’t have any toppings, blueberries or raisins. I had forgotten about peanut butter and cream cheese filled bagels. I’m going to have to make some.
Bull Chick, these cookies LOOK GREAT. Is your recipe posted? I would

Looks yummy. I just made my first baguettes and they turned out great! Here’s the recipe in case you’re interested. Don’t stress over doing everything exact. I have made †hem 4 times now and all different timings lol. Life happens. Just remember to do all the folds so it’s airy enough. https

Don’t stress over doing everything exact time wise. https://tasteofartisan.com/french-baguette-recipe/ I have kept the dough in the fridge for quite awhile longer until I can get to it. Life happens lol. Just make sure to do all the folds because the bread will be much more airy. I have baked after 6-8 hours in the fridge and it was just as good. The stone helps but I have used a turned over jelly roll pan as well. The shaping you will get better at every time you make them. They are a huge hit in my house.
Thanks for the recipe!

I doubt it. You start with basic chocolate chip cookies, then you can add a big dollop of peanut butter, and 1/2 -1 C extra flour, or, just omit one stick of softened butter for 1/2 C peanut butter.

It is in the google sheet now

They are dark because of the cinnamon, not because they are burnt. IMG_6111.jpeg

I got a little carried away today. I did start a batch of sourdough, which I am presently folding/stretching and will bake in the morning. Then I made two whole wheat SD pizza crusts, one of which went in the freezer and the other was dinner. AND somewhere in there I also decided to make a batch of naan for the first time! Which turned out really yummy, and ancestors, don't spin in your graves, but I like it better than tortillas! I had to make some ghee that the recipe called for. Here's the naan:

Well, I’m not gonna be doing much baking today. My car broke down. The good news is it broke down about 100 feet from my house. We were able to safely push it back.

I don’t know what the problem is. When I was making a left turn, I felt a very small lurch in the engine. Instantly after that, the engine stopped completely. I was able to pull over to a safe spot and turn the car off after shifting it into park. The car was still moving, but the engine was not working. I attempted to restart the car. However, I’m getting a very weird sound. It sounds like the starter is turning, but the engine is not.

I have no idea what the problem is, or how to fix it.

The bad news is now I won’t be able to pick up ingredients for my mothers birthday dinner tomorrow.

A lot of stress going on here.
