Congratulations! 🥳Did you use fresh cherries or a cherry jelly?
Thanks!

I used frozen cherries; fresh cherries are hard to come by this time of year. I just mashed them a bit in the stove with some sugar, lemon juice, salt, and a cornstarch slurry to thicken it :)

@BigBlueHen53, I made you some...

When I was little one of the cheap cookies you could buy in the supermarket, called penny wafel, was very popular in our household. However, where I live nobody makes them at home.

Today I searched for a recipe after I could buy the waffle in a small shop for people from the balkan countries. Still didn't find one, however I found a very similar recipe on a serbian website.
So I decided to give it a try to try and make the filling. Which was easier than I thought when I started to search for the recipe.

This is the result... Enjoy 😋

Thank you, that is JUST what I wanted! I LOVE wafer cookies! :clap

I baked pizzas today. I used half of my dough to make seasoned breadsticks..
This is just an IDEA, not a recipe,,, if you end up with extra bread dough, and are wandering what to experiment with.
Use seasoning of your choice, or availability:thumbsup
Here are the selection of seasonings I used.
Garlic Powder.
Lemon Pepper
Cable Guy Road Kill seasoning salt
Texas Rattlesnake Bites
Parmesan Romano Grated Cheese ( about 3/4 cup)
Basil
Italian Seasoning
I did not use a measuring teaspoon, rather I just took my metal teaspoon, and dipped a quantity out, Not heaping, but not level ether. I guess that would be referred to as a rounded teaspoon quantity. :idunno
The Cheese was a pretty large quantity in comparison to the other ingredients.
All things were mixed dry, and I took my dough rolls, and rolled them in the seasoning mix. I then shaped into the cute shapes that resulted.

My First time using this seasoning. I do like it. It did not overpower the seasoning taste. (meaning to hot) Again, I only added about a rounded teaspoon to the mix.

I baked these after I finished baking the pizzas. I had oven @ 425°F and took about 15 minutes. I took them out of oven when they were nicely tanned. I did check with Thermometer, for done temp. It was 200°F:yesss:

Well, I got some bad news. My shotgun barrel is now close to breaking and I can’t waterfowl hunt until I get a new one.

There are a few “chips” on the end of the barrel I did not notice until today. Also, you can SEE AND FEEL the choke threads on the outside of the barrel. I did not notice that either. It looks like corrosion took place there.

Needless to say, this barrel is no longer safe to use, at least in my opinion. I need to get a new one off eBay.

Still, I am surprised this barrel lasted this long!
