Any Home Bakers Here?

I bake mostly breads, some pies and cakes, also. It took me a long time to become patient enough to be a good bread maker! I was too impatient to knead enough and to learn the feel of good dough for years. I also tended to under bake most breads at first. I have an Italian sour dough bread starter that I have been using about twenty five years now. I make rolls, baguettes and boules but mostly baguette shaped loaves. I also make other breads with yeast or combinations using both leavenings. Also, Flat breads of many types from Mexico to India and between! My day in and out favorite is the sour dough/yeast combo baguettes cooked nearly nut brown sprinkled with homegrown poppy seeds and or sesame seeds.

Afternoon everyone.

Having a rough day so far. I would rather not talk about it. I’ll explain later if I feel up to it.

Anyway, I’m trying to figure out what kind of cake I want for my birthday, which is on the 9th. So far I am leaning towards pineapple upside down cake.
I am sorry you are having a rough day!

I like peach and pear upside down cake too.

My birthday is the 8th and I have not decided on a cake either.

I love upside down cake. I adapted a recipe for pineapple upside down cake to fit my tastes, and it's delicious (the recipe was previously posted here).

I also created a recipe for a pear one. I added spices to the cake and just used milk instead of pineapple juice in my other recipe.

I've also had blueberry upside down cake made by a friend who owns a blueberry farm; one of the best cakes I've ever eaten!
