Ok, Dutch oven corned beef did not cook all the way through yesterday. I need to use more charcoal next time.

I am embarrassed to make this confession, but I’m going to make it anyway. Y’all think what you think of me as it is, so I don’t think this is really going to change your mind about me.
Until today, I have never made a good batch of buttercream frosting. I am pretty sure I used margarine a time or two, and 100% sure I didn’t do it right. I did not cream the butter alone for several minutes first. I did not sift my powdered sugar. I did not mix the batches of sugar in for a minute or so between. I did not keep it on low.
Now I have the right frosting, and a new problem. I want to eat it without cake.

The frosting is the best part of the cake.

I really don't care for cake, but I love the frosting.

The frosting is the best part of the cake.

I really don't care for cake, but I love the frosting.

I had to make many cakes before I found a cake recipe I liked. It is easy to change the flavor too. This one is cherry.

Ooh! I have a question!
Making muffins a couple weeks ago, I baked the first batch right in the pan, then used muffin cups for the second batch. There was a little batter under some papers, and it baked on. I have soaked the pan, and used several cleaners, but can’t get the pan clean. What now?
