I'm thinking hubby and I should get a second freezer, and an upright model. He HATES how everything "settles" down to the bottom of the chest freezer, and he can't find anything. And, yeah, he's right.

While he's gone next week, I plan to clean out the freezer as best I can and organize it a bit. I have some stuff that I think I can use and use up for "weird Sally stuff" to eat while he's gone.

I hear you, I have 2 freezers . Still not enough space

Yes! We only have one freezer and I’m facing that right now. There are only two of us here. How much freezer space do I want to pay for? Our freezer is avocado green which tells you how old it is. We’re thinking about replacing it before we have a disaster.
In the meantime I’m trying to can meals in jars to make room in there but I just keep putting more in than I ever take out!

I know what you are saying. I am trying to plan what Groceries I will need for the Winter...when it is more difficult
for me to get the shopping done ...My family is closer in the Summer...away for the Winter. Now I must get enough...working on it NOW. NOT EASY. Aria

Okay admit this we have 2 fridges big freezer on both then one
stand up freezer as tall as I am stuffed to the gills on all of them.

SOLUTION TO NOT BEING ABLE TO LOOSE WEIGHT,,,, GET A LARGER SIZE PANTS.

The Avocado freezer you have may outlive the new one you purchase.
The older basic freezers, you needed to defrost occasionally, and that is it. Not much to break down. The newer frost free freezers, , well,, there is more to break, so shorter lifespan.
