After 10year hietus. I decided to start brewing again!

I wanted to make a batch of Ginger Ale but I couldn't find the 4 cases of bottles I USED to have

so I went to the Home Brew Store to pick up a case of plastic screwtops for the soda.
After I made the Ginger Ale I was cleaning out the garage and found my old fermenter, Joy of Homebrewing book, and a few odds -n- ends. Thumbing through the book I remembered how good my last batch of Scottish Ale tasted.

I Dug up $100.00 in quarters I've been hiding (lost) around the house and bought a "starter kit" to get me back in the groove and replace some of the stuff that got "recycled".

Once again the house was filled with the aromas of malted barley, and hops.

I just set up a NorthWestern Pale Ale. Should be ready to bottle on the 11th.

Not yet, but hubby ordered a kit last week. Just what my house needs, yet another ongoing project. I may have to take up drinking.

My DH is going to try his hand at brewing as well. He's been doing alot of research and I think the plan is that when the cold weather hits, his new project will start

I've been homebrewing for about a year now, in that time I've only bought beer from the store once or twice. I've got an irish stout that needs to be bottled asap and I'm starting a pale ale with some of my own hops after that.

I'll be taking a gravity reading this after noon to see if I'm ready to bottle.

My "instinct" tells me to bottle NOW, NOW, NOW, but I want to give the "instructions" and gravity numbers a chance because this time round I'm taking lots of notes (and not just scribbled on a 2X4 in the garage)
