X 2. Black sex link cockerels are always barred. As chicks the females are solid black and the males have a white head spot. I suppose it's possible they are Marans depending on which hatchery TSC got their chicks, though Marans usually have feathered legs.

So the rooster may be a mix breed ?

The pullet looks like a black sex link, the rooster does not. IMHO
