There was a tiny shell-less egg under the roost this morning. It has a membrane. And I opened it and it looks like it has a little bit of yoke but not much. It doesn’t match up with the weird eggs I’m reading about ie. fairy egg, fart egg etc. My chickens are all 8 months old and have been laying for awhile now (3-5 months). Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

Their bodies need to work things out.
To you provide oyster shells as free choice for the flock?
Yes I provide oyster shell at all times and they eat layer feed. Do you think it’s ok that she is still “working it out” after she’s been laying for at least 3 months? I’m not sure which chicken it is so she might have been laying for up to 5 months already.

As a side note, last night was the coldest night they have experienced. It got down to 29 degrees. I realize chickens can handle much colder but I’m wondering if a drop in temp could have caused this.

Sometimes 'fairy' eggs do have an immature yolk.
That's what you've got there, along with a soft shell.
Hopefully it's one off glitch and you'll never see one again.

Might want to try a higher quality feed if you are feeding a low quality feed. I have had good luck with
DuMOR chicken feed.
