I clean the spot and put neosporin on it and my dog got him this morning trying to play. He is about 3 months old the duck and he eating and drink like normal we have him inside until he healsCan you give us any back story? Who did this happen, what is happening, when, what age is he, how is he eating/drinking, what treatment have you done, if any? That will help the situation a lot. Other then that, rinse the wound, i'm assuming its a wound, with saline solution, another sterile solution, or warm soapy water in a spray bottle. Once it is cleaned out, apply Neosporin, or another antibacterial ointment to the wound. Do not wrap, and see him in a warm, stress free place, inside, and make sure no flies are laying eggs in the wound. Where there are fly eggs, there are maggots.
Okay, do you have Vetrcyin? Spray his back with that, and apply Neosporin to his whole back. Clip some of the feathers out of the wound, and I see you have it covered in one of the pictures, take the cover off, it is harder for the wound to heal if it is covered like that. @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock @Overo MareI clean the spot and put neosporin on it and my dog got him this morning trying to play.
