Any idea what would cause a sore on top of foot

The links in post 2 have good videos of the surgery. That is obvious bumblefoot on the footpads. Is she limping at all?

On my way to the store to pick up supplies. the list is latex gloves, theracyn, saline solution, bleach, triple antibiotic ointment, vetrap, guaze, epson salt, vetericyn, and a scapel. I hope I am not forgetting anything.

Tweezer, a sharp/exacto knife, antibiotic ointment and vet wrap would be good enough.
Oh and the epsom salt.

I use disposable scalpels and blade from Tractor Supply in the goat and cattle section. Exacto knives are also good. Most knifes at home are not sharp enough. Yes vet wrap with scissors to cut it into strips for the dressing, plain neosporin or triple antibiotic ointment, and gauze squares are good. Telfa pads are non-stick for wounds and can be cut to size. I use betadine to clean, but Hibiclens (chlorhexidene,) are good toos. Vetericyn is an all round wound spray to have on hand, as long as you are shopping.

Watch the videos in the links that we have provided—TheChickenChick’s are good. Most bumblefoot surgery is not an emergency, so watching videos, and waiting until you have help might be best. I do not perform bumblefoot surgery unless my chickens are limping or the foot looks abscessed. Many chicken ps get bumblefoot, but not all cases require surgery. Once you do it, you may later know when it is necessary of not, and you will get more comfortable each time you do it. The main goal is to get the cheese-like kernel of hardened pus out of the foot, and you may not always succeed. Good luck.

I don't notice any limping I am going to continue to give epson salt soaks. I am hoping my DH changes his mind and offers to help.
