We thought we got our child 8 pullets this past spring. The golden comet is sitting on several eggs. My child wants to know what the golden comet hen and barred rock baby chicks will look like. Any ideas?

With a Barred Rock as the father, all the chicks should be barred like dad, some maybe a little more than others. The Golden Comets are actually red sex links and I believe are usually New Hampshire Red males crossed with a White Plymouth Rock females. You might want to post your question in the What Breed Or Gender is This? or the Breeds, Genetics, & Showing Forums to get more answers and to find somebody that has done the cross. And,

I had my Barred Rock roo with my golden comet hens and got alot of white chickens with 1 or 2 barred rock feathers. Very interesting.
