Any ideas for recovering energy after spell with bad heart?

I've been where you are too...(similar).....still am, I guess.
(heart attacks and congestive heart failure....the left ventricle has permanent damage.)

A shot of good-quality whiskey helps me. (ONE shot is a Heart-stimulant)

Sometimes, I will try THAT rather than a Nitro.

Essentially, we are dealing with a pump that runs like an old "hit-and-miss" one cylinder engine.

(I think a shot of whiskey helps.)

Yep. My Ancestors in the hills, coves, and hollers of North Carolina considered "shine" a medicine. And...like ALL medicines...a little dab will do ya.

My problem was always stopping after the little dab.

If they take you to the ER make sure you tell them it's the heart they are working on. No need for an unnecessary "rectoscoping".

Some years back, I had a "Lower G.I." and an "Upper G.I." test (inspection). In those days, they didn't use an anesthetic as I understand that they do now.

I swore I'd never go through that again.

NOT "fun".
