Any ideas for recovering energy after spell with bad heart?

Hey Imp, my neighbor went on the South Beach diet. The man was about 300 lbs. The diet worked. He got down to about 230. Now that he went off of his diet, he's up to close to 400 lbs.

As far as celery not being food, I had 4 stalks with cheddar cheese on them for supper last night!

Just got in from the Doctor. Good Lord willin' It'll be my last trip to Tupelo for a while. Unless I get to finally get that incubator from Mandy, and getting that doesn't involve Doctors, evil nurses or giving blood. (At least I hope it doesn't... I haven't acually MET Mandy, and it's an awful nice 'bator!)

The good news; No more surgury in the plans for a right now. Three test today with the last one being injecting me via IV with some radioactive gook and taking CSI type pictures of my heart. Sorta cool really, I got to watch the pictures as they came up on the screen and I got a cute nurse to look at when they weren't taking heart pictures.

The meds are finally kicking in, and everything else is ok too. They think everything else that's wrong can be treated with meds, diet & the 70% blockage on the left side???? The one that was going to be so tricky and dangerous with my goofy shaped heart????

Gone!! They can't explain it. Said it could be an echo on one of the test, or some BS, but they had me take 5 different tests, ALL showed the blockage, the last one being Monday. Today... nuthin'... just nothing! I do have very light blockage in my heart, but the biggy just went "poof". I love it! Iasked him if it could be a miracle.... he just gave me a dirty look.

Anyway, hopefully I'm on the mend.

The bad news is the stuff they put in me is making me sick as a dog and they said I'd be sick for about two days. Just a side effect of the junk they put in me to get those fancy shamancy pictures.

We had a call that the wife took while I was in the hospital this morning about the roosters we are trying to move, but the guy didn't speak much English, and Terra and I both use up our complete knowledge of Spanish once we recite Taco Bell's menu.

I dunno, maybe he'll come out anyway, I'd be willing to trade them for tacos or burritos at this point in time.

You get the whole tub of dip all to yourself, because you're double dipping and no one else will eat any then, and since you never acually eat the celery, it'll last several years per piece I'm thinking.

The Doc said seafood was good for me. I wonder if I could somehow use that for an excuse to go fishing later this year?

Glad the three bunches of celery arrived in good shape. Tacos and burritos for terra and the kids--my present is for you.

No one ever needs an excuse for going fishing. It has been proven to be heart healthy. Most doctors have problems handling the concept of "miracles." My outlook has changed over the years.
