This is our chicken Blue. We were told he was male. At 5 months old we're failing to see any male characteristics. He also doesn't crow. The only sound he seems to have made alongside his unusual chirps can only be described as the egg laying song.
Any other opinions on gender welcomed.
Kate.

Can you get a side on photo? At 5 months, you'd see some saddle feathers on a male. From your photos, I can't see any, but it's also not 100% clear.

IME, less that 10% of the cockerels I've had were crowing at 5 months. None of my 7 month old boys are crowing yet either so IMO not a good indicator.

Agree with KittyKat. A clear picture of the comb/wattles would help, and also a side view of the tail/saddle area. At 5 months it is probably a pullet, but best to be sure.

He's a he isn't he? If I'm looking at the right feathers they're all thin and pointy.
