I figured it was getting so diverse, had to throw them out there
I am feeling old now thought....remembering when some of these bands started, going to Detroit, wonder how the heck we made it out alive.
Now I'm some hillbilly housewife with a yard of chickens...what happened???
It's a Michigan thing.
Notice that as soon as we have a thread on classic rock, heavy metal or rock out songs we Michiganiacs tend to dominate?
THEY DON"T CALL IT DETROIT ROCK CITY FOR NOTHIN'!!!
Heck, the yuppies who bred my horse came up with plenty of rock out names for the horses: Apollopalooza, Party Party (my horse), Pearl Jam, Jam Session, EA LectricLightOrchestra, Just Jammin', JR Fortunate Son
GOtta love the defining movies of my generation: Airheads, Wayne's World
Other than the aforementioned and Heavy Metal, what are some other good metal-esque movies out there? And please no one say The Song Remains the Same, that's basically Lord of the Rings with guitar solos.
Just got back from Mayehm Fest in St. Louis. Hatebreed ROCKS!!! Rob Zombie was good as well as Lamb Of God. Jonathan Davis acted like he had a burr in his buttocks but I still love Korn. I've seen the three times. 5FDP was there and rocked it out. It was a really good show if you get the chance to catch it.
