Any Metalheads out there?

Cool!

I'd love to go to a concert again, but I think those days are behind me.

Nahhhhh! I don't believe it! That means I'd have to quit one day too and I don't wanna! You won't catch me moshing, but I still love to go!

they're one of those essential classic bands that almost don't need a mention cause everyone should be listening to them

Wow the 80s were great. I went to lots of concerts back in the day, I could probably dig up a ratt or a scorpions tee shirt around here if I looked hard enough LOL. We have two teenage DDs now, When they first started going to concerts we ( I ) would have to escort them to and from so i have seen a few Indie rock shows They SUCK!! Sometimes DW and I will play 80s rock in the car when we are going somewhere with the kids, they hate it. In the summer sometimes when we go to town just for fun we will roll down the windows crank the 80s and roll it old school. I look in the reveiw at my girls and they are trying so hard to be invisable, it is embarresing enough for them just to be seen hanging with the fossils ,the head banging just adds another layer of fun for us. all parents should try this it is so fun.

my sister (the real metalhead of the family, i just listen to it once in a while) listens to Lacuna coil all the time! I have some on my ipod. Nightwish is symphonic/operatic metal. Very pretty.

Yes, but I'm a teacher and must be a bland, lifeless pillar of the community

I don't think I'll ever be able to live down the headline "Local Teacher Injured in Pit Fight at Harpos"

When DH had his motorcycle, he and I rode up to Ponderosa in West Branch for lunch. I was also skinnier then so I was able to fit into lean, black leather jeans, Harley tank top covered with a very flattering vest, my long hair braided back in one of those leather tube-things. DH, of course, had his t-shirt with sleevs cut off, POW/MIA vest along with a little patch that said VFW: Veterans F--ed by Washington, faded jeans. His hair was also longer than mine in those days. Plus, he's tall and German/Blackfoot so he's pretty imposing. While going up to the cashier, a 10 year old girl came up to me and said "You were my teacher when my regular teacher was gone!" I looked up to see her parents glaring at DH and I. I felt a little sheepish so I didn't quite know what to say. I did sub in that district the following fall though.

With Christmas coming, I thought I'd list some of Bob Rivers' Comedy Group's hard rock/heavy metal Christmas songs

"Aquaclaus" ~Parody of Jethro Tull's "Aqualung"
"Holidaze" ~Parody of Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze"
"I am Santa Claus"~Parody of Black Sabbath's "Iron Man"
"Jingle H--ls Bells" ~AC/DC-eqsue type song for "Favorite Things"
"Sled Zeppelin" ~Parody of Led Zeppelin's "D'yerMaker"
"Wreck the Malls" ~Deck the Halls done 80's glam metal

Some that I know were done but don't know names of the songs
Heard one on the radio today, some 80's metal band (not sure which one)
Rollins Band
Mercyful Fate
