Any Metalheads out there?

I don't really know. Alternative? Simply because no other category fits. Most Goth music is basically just British pop with lyrics about vampires. Flock of Seagulls, Modern English, the Eurythmics, David Bowie and Pink Floyd were all big influences on Goth music.

No, Niravna isn't metal

BTW, does anyone watch the show Metalocalypse?

That show is AWFUL... and yet you can't look away.

Kinda like a car wreck. I LOVE the Duncan Hills Coffee jingle. Actually had it as my song on myspace for the longest time. Nowadays though you can get a whole LIST, which is awesome. Only reason I even have a myspace is to scope the music. There's one Italian band I just love, Lost4Found.

Let's see... on my playlist now... Manson (Arma.. that one I just giggled for days over), A.F.I., In Flames, Linkin Park, Type O Negative, Three Days Grace, Flo Rida (anyone else take this long to realize that spells Florida?), Nickelback, Jason Mraz (only song of his I can stand), Halestorm

My 'Happy Music' playlist is an even bigger jumble of madness... just goes to show I'm eclectic.

http://www.myspace.com/pineapplemama if any care to take a listen

I am a METAL MOMMA!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hatebreed, Fear Factory, Machinehead, System of a Down, Deftones, Slipknot, Mushroomhead, as well as hard rock bands like Korn and Disturbed. I love old metal such as Metallica, Pantera,Ozzy/Sabbath and Kiss (not metal but they still rock). I also love classic country like Hank Sr, Kitty Wells, Conway and Loretta. I cannot stand new country. Its too much like pop and I dont like pop either.
ETA: Soulfly, Kingdom of Sorrow, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Chimaira.....they just keep popping into my head.

WOW! I'm listening to it right now, and I've never heard anything like it...ever. I'm as non-goth as it gets, but oddly I really like it. Cool voice

No Prob. Type O Negative kinda mainstreamed modern Goth IMO... but they have a lot of songs that don't quite fit any genre. That one is just one example

Enjoy your new addiction

I saw Type O Negative on concert back in 1995 at Harpo's in Detroit. The friend driving had trouble finding a parking spot and almost ran over Peter Steele going from the van into the club. It probably would have messed up her Pontiac. He's a big man.

Also saw Nuclear Assault and Cinderella there
