Any more opinions?

ok, perhaps they are just new feathers coming in, which is why I mentioned to take a closer look in real life... so if you can't tell by feathering and no one is crowing or laying at this age, then what makes you say cockerel? Just the pinkness in the comb? am I missing something? Is it just a 50% chance guess?
At this age, you can usually tell by the comb. Males will have larger, more red combs, and the females will be small and pale. 12 weeks is when the males start to grow male feathering.

Yes! Well, an Easter Egger x Barred Rock mix
Is the barred rock the mother? If so, you have a homemade black sex link and the chick is definitely male because there is faint barring in the tail. It is obscured by the blue coloring, but it is there.

No, the Barred Rock is the father while the EE is the mother. He has barring at the end of most of his feathers, can’t really show in picture though lol.

Ah ok. In that case, it isn’t a homemade black sex link. I still vote that it is a cockerel though. A pea comb that red at 6 weeks is telling.

They grow up so fast :hit
