Any Muscovy Mule's offspring out there?

I have mule drakes and they mated with my muscovy hen...now she is sitting on eggs. I ate some of her eggs before and thought they could be fertile, but I don't know for sure ( I am a newbie)!

So I am just wondering if there will be any ducklings from this? I know the odds are low. And does she give up the eggs herself if they are infertile?

But, the general consensus is that mules are sterile.

I am still learning myself, lol You will have to crack open one of the eggs and look for a little round Bullseye spot on the yolk. If the small spot is round and clear it's not fertile. If it has a small dote inside the circle, it's fertile.

If your hen is broody and is sitting on fertile eggs? You should have baby ducklings in 28 days as long as she does not abandoned her eggs.

As long as she is in a safe place that is free from predators, I would place food and water close by her and see what happens next? Best of luck and please keep us all posted.

Mule drakes by definition are sterile. So the likelihood of the eggs being fertile are pretty much zero. I would simply candle them after the mother has been setting them for a week. If you don't see any development, remove all the eggs and toss them.
