My EE's have beards (muffs?, I think they are called). Maybe if they lay dark green/blue eggs we could swap some eggs. My EE rooster is very handsome, all black and he was hatch from an egg that was almost turquois. I hope that gene shows up again down the line.

maybe us folks around the B'ton/Owego/ithaca, etc.
area should plan some kind of chicken tail-gating party soon!! that way we could meet up, swap story's and make plans...just an idea.
 
So those of you in the southern tier, what breeds do you have. Maybe we could meet and swap eggs and chicks sometime in the spring. I would love to diversify my small flock. I only have 8 EE's.
 
Hi There, I'm near Watkins Glen. New to chickens and no eggs yet:( We have Golden Seabrights and Barred Rocks.

I've got buff orps, barred rocks, white rocks, RIR, NHR, black minorcas, blk austrolorps, GLW, golden comets, black cochin, white leghorns and a few mutts of unknown origin.

BTW~ i have baby jersy giants hatched in early august '08 - some black but mostly blues!! They are BIG chicks and eat everything.
