Bodyflight, I looked at your pics. #2 looks just like my ROO in size of wattles and comb. ROO has the height of #1 tho. #3 is tri colored. I think the color is supposed to be uniform throughout. I was also under the impression that they cant have stray feathers hanging down, so that rules out #1. BUT, and this is the one that worries me.......Buff Orpingtons are automatically dismissed if they have any white on the ears. ROO's ears are white. The one rooster I have that doesnt have white is shorter, with long curving tail feathers.
Thankyou for replying. I would appreciate any updates you have now. I want to better the breed also. The Buff Orpington club in the U.K told me about the ear color and also told me that BO's over here seem to be taller and longer than the standards there. Just thought you would want to know. #2 for me!!
