I have ISP. The last episode occurred about six days ago. I've had it and some variation of astral projection for as long as I can remember. Sometimes when I'm awake, or...getting there, rather, I feel presences. Every now and then I'll see "shadow figures". I can remember when I was three & four, if not earlier, trying to bring myself back from such experiences by telling myself "wake up, it'll go away...just wake up.". I could feel myself trying so hard to wake myself up. The last ISP episode I had, I was straining to talk. I remember trying to rasp out "Get away satan, I rebuke you, get away!". I woke myself up. I was so unsettled it took a while for me to get back to sleep.
My house is very old, and was built by my great, great grandmother on my dad's side. The only people that've lived in this house have been in the family. I don't know much about the history of the house, but I can tell you it's haunted. I'm borderline on whether or not "ghosts" are real, but there have been undeniable experiences. Ever since I was little, I've felt "people", heard things, seen "shadow figures", things like that. One night when I was about nine or ten, MAYBE eleven, I was up late one night sitting on my bedroom floor watching some ghost hunter show on TV. All the sudden, my door slammed shut. Like, SLAMMED. No draft, no A/C, no nothing. When I'm home alone, I'll hear people talking in the back room.
I remember one time when I was twelve, I was laying in bed pretty late one night, and I heard a child make a scream, or cry...laugh...some loud noise outside of my door. It was clearly a childs voice, but I don't remember exactly what it sounded like. My brother was asleep in my parents room last night, and after asking mom the next morning, I found out he slept all night, so it wasn't him. My mom isn't a strong believer in "ghosts", either, but she'll tell you she'll randomly smell cigarette smoke (grandpa used to smoke), and see "things" out of the corner of her eye. When my brother was about two (he's 6 1/2 now), he did something my mom and I will never forget. Me, and my mom were talking when all the sudden my toddler brother goes "Momma, who's that man?" -- "What man?" -- "That man looking in the window.".
I can feel when things aren't quite "right". I don't know -- I reckon I'm just an odd one.
[edit:]
To add to the fact that I'm a little on the "off" side, I tend to remember things, places, and people I've never done, been to, or met. Certain smells trigger certain memories, and they're as clear as the day is long. Sometimes the "memories" come in dreams, sometimes they're just that -- memories.
