Mine love apples too! I cut them up and put them in the suet feeders I have hanging on the side of my tractor.

Mine live under two apple trees LOL So they get sick of eating apples in the fall. But when they start falling from the trees after not having them for a while they go all crazy. One thing they do love LOTS (prob the most out of everything I ever gave them) is corn picked right from the feed corn field.

Are they really? Mine eat tons of seeds

They have not gotten sick or showed any signs of getting sick. They are almost 2 yrs old now. Will this build up in their systems?​

i think that's not a problem to feed them apple as long as not too much e.g: 1 kg/chicken.

i fed my flock with apple sometimes when i also eat it, i divided the apple in 2 parts, i eat one part and just throw the other part to the run and they have to fight each other and *draw* the apple from the other. apple is rich of antioxidant and that's good for human and i don't find any reason why the chicken get sick of eating it.

I feed them lightly. I have one hen who obsesses over the core and will hoard it in a corner, pecking it clean.

Again, it takes alot of apple seeds to become toxic.
