Any one want to join me in waiting for eggs, posting and comparing notes?

I'm beginning to think I have 5 duds lol they are 25 weeks tomorrow all look mature, doing the squat, singing loud but no eggs :/

Maybe they are on strike like my girls. Mine are 24 weeks old. Nothing yet.

I have a dozen who I am waiting on. 5 Rock Bars , 6 Rhode Island Reds , and one White Chicken of which I do not know its breed. It is suppose to lay brown eggs. We will see. They hatched 2nd week of May so I am looking for eggs in the next week or so. I have 3 older Rhode Island Reds in with them so I am hoping they follow suit and use the nest boxes that are hanging. I see them up on the perch looking in them but I have not see any of them get in the boxes yet. They all have combs and waddles but are still pretty quiet except if one of them gets mad. I leave my eggs in the boxes from the 3 older hens until dinner time each night.

I am shocked at how calm your dog is with your girls. My dogs are banned from the chicken area. I am actually planning to move the coop to the front garden area, out of sight, out of mind. We had a little crowing in the coop area this morning, Rocky the Roo was crowing, two of the girls were singing. No eggs yet.

Well, I think I have you all beat. I have chickens that are 28 weeks old and haven't laid an egg yet. I feel like I have duds. If they keep it up they may end up on the grill.
