Watermelon for Spikes Chooks!Frozen watermelon, what a great idea for hot days! Spikes Chooks, your birds are beautiful!
We're having a very strange week here, warm in the 50s and 60s. It's supposed to be near 70 degrees tomorrow. So weird, but I'm not complaining. Unfortunately, warm days in mid winter can only mean one thing...time to clean out and re bed the chicken coop so I don't have to do it in the snow.

I'm heading down to UDelaware to see my oldest who just got diagnosed with Mono. I am so worried about him. Also, 2 boys in his frat house have the flu, one hospitalized. I want him to come home but we passed the drop course date, and he is flipping he will miss these two winter courses to graduate on time. The flu epidemic is frightening and it's only the begining of Jan. I won't be back until late Sat. or early Sunday. I'm bringing him some cooked dishes that are his favorite, although he is saying he has no appitite. Going to bring him some eggs too, although not sure I want to venture inside that Frat House. You should see what it looks like, let alone scramble some eggs for him in that disgusting kitchen!
I'll be touching base with my mobile BYC ap, but it's a bit difficult with my old eyes!

Wish him luck,
MB
