How does your Jack fare with the chickens? Mine is doing well thus far, in the first stages of training. Within the next two weeks, it'll be him on a leash with the chickys free to come and go to him as they please. Although they're fiesty, Jacks are also highly trainable, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My biggest worry isn't aggression, but his overbearing need to play with things

My jack was a city dog before we got her, never seen a chicken or duck or even a horse. She so loves duck eggs, she doesn`t mess with the chickens, but they are penned up.I have to keep her penned up or she she chases the neighbors cows.

Oh boy, I am so happy that we aren't the only family with lots of members that aren't nessasarily two legged! We moved to five acres about nine months ago, so we haven't been here long, but so far we have,

four inside/outside dogs, Coda, Nutmeg, Tova and Maverick
four inside cats Tinker, Twingles, Felony and Misdemeanor
four parakeets One, Two, Three, Four, (my son named them, he is four)
2 fish OH, and Boy
27 chickens, bantams and regulars, Working on names for all of them,
2 turkeys Frick and Frack
2 horses Scout and Renegade,
2 kids, and a wonderful understanding husband!

Rachel

And my husband though I was out of control... HeHe! Although we do only have a little over an acre of land, so it is getting a little cramped.

We have:

2 Horses
2 Dogs
2 Very large cats (23+lbs!)
1 Holland Lop
17 Chicks
45 gallon tank with guppies, mollies, swordtails, platies and a few misc.
2 gallon tank with the babies from above

And soon to be 2 meat pigs (if we have the nerve to take them to the butcher!)
And my husband also wants a beef calf (we'll see)
