I'm a member of a pigeon rescue group, and another member has found an injured band-tailed pigeon in southern WA (near Portland).
Strangely, no rescue groups anywhere around will help her - everyone she has contacted says they will euthanize.
Is there anyone in this area who could help her or suggest where she can take this bird?
Thank you!!!

Since this is a wild species - did you contact a wildlife rescue? They are lovely birds. What kind of injuries does it have?

Yes, it is a wild species. Every rescue she contacted, as well as the WA Dep't of Fish and Wildlife, said they'd euthanize. It seems to have a wing injury of some kind.

Thanks for asking about this poor pidgie, @biophiliac!
I haven't seen the bird (I'm in California) and don't really know its situation - I was really just trying to find some recommendations about local help for the person who found the injured bird. Hopefully she'll get the little guy some help soon!
