As far as spaying/neutering, our vet was ok as long as size was over 2-3 lbs and over the age of 4 months, when we did rescue rabbits. We never had a single problem and I think our total of actual neuter/spay was over 100. She was a great vet and still use her for the rabbits, but she has uped her price since last time we used her.
