Went to go check on my meat chickens and found this guy like this. There is no swelling and it is eating and drinking fine.
 
It looks a bit like the leg has a slipped achilles tendon, which may be from a vitamin deficiency in the parent stock. Sometimes it can be fixed if done very early, but not always successful. Vitamins in the water may help also. Here are a couple of links to read:

I used to be a nurse, I was putting my money on the leg popped out of the thigh joint. I am not sure if that can be fixed. It is a chick from cackle hatchery, so I would assume they have healthy stock
