Any thoughts on this polish?

If your house is at the end of a long driveway, then they probably won't hear it - unless they are actually outside. We only live on about 3 acres tops, and the houses are only about 75-100 feet apart right here (most of the land is wooded, behind us). But our neighbors to either side don't hear the roosters crow when they are indoors, and our chickens stay in the back yard. The house to the south of us even sits further back away from the road than ours, so they are somewhat closer to the chickens than we are. But they don't hear them. And we can't hear them from the front of the house if they are actually in their pen.

When they are loose and free-roaming, everyone has the possibility of hearing them... except those across the road. For some reason, my chickens DO NOT cross the road (go figure!)

Maybe they don't like the feel of the asphalt? Lol
They probably don't cross the road because they know their motive will always be questioned.

For about 1 1/2 years my hens were content in their yard and never crossed the road. Al of the sudden they started bothering the neighbors and then in the end they crossed the last string, they tried to cross the road. A stranger in a car who passed our house even drove up to our driveway to to ell us that the chickens were on the road. And that was the end of their free ranging days. . . .
