Any tips on how to kill a coyote in a residential neighborhood?

Lots of coyote experiences over the years and they certainly do love to munch on kitties But I've never known a cat to get away. I doubt the cat even knows what hit it let alone has a chance to struggle. So I'm still not convinced the coyote is responsible for the neighborhood attacks. I'd look very carefully at the local dogs. Any new dogs in the area? Sometimes a small innocent looking dog can have a strong prey drive and inflict a great deal of damage. Just a thought...

Cage traps have been used to capture yotes it just takes a fair amount of wiring the traps open and feeding them getting them used to your smell etc if they are ion your yard at this point it kins sounds like they are already not afraid of human scent these type are fairly easy to trap the ones out in semi wilderness areas are a pita to catch ya have to wait a few days for your scent to die down

I had a friend who lived in China and worked as an Asian weddings videographer tell me that over there the Chinese would piss around their property to keep predators away from their chickens, I guess the didn't like the human smell and it worked, maybe that's an answer to your problem...Lol!

White English Bulldog--It's a specific breed, not a regular bulldog with a white coat. Awesome predator protection and great with kids and domestic animals.

The DNR and the federal trappers told me that there has been a problem with coyotes moving into residential neighborhoods and killing small dogs and cats. I was told they LOVE to eat cats. That coyote was under my deck when sasha was attacked, I saw the blood and fur under there the other day when a big piece of lattice came off from the strong winds we had. None of the neighbors I have talked to want to help hunt this thing so I guess I am on my own. I was out in the yard til late last night with the 22 in hand hoping I would see it cross the yard but no such luck, it seems the only time I see it is when I am not armed. I know people think it was just a dog but I tell you what I went door to door to tell everyone about this so they keep their own animals safe and there was not a vicious dog anywhere, In fact most dogs are kenneled during the day and roam their property when the owners are there to keep an eye on them. Several neighbors have seen the same coyote in their yards. My cat was very large and when she needed to beat feet she could take off like you wouldn't believe. She was very tough and determined to get back to the door where she knew she would be let in. The first cat that was attacked and survived the attack is also a very tough kitty, seemed to me as soon as the yote sunk all of his teeth into sam, sam took off and got away. I took pics of his wounds but didn't get a chance to take a pic of sashas because they were sooooo bad. I really don't believe it was a dog. It may take me awhile to get it but dangit I am gonna get this sucker if it kills me!

Try downloading some calls from this site like maybe the small dog chicken or excruciator. you will find all the calls just past half way down the page hope this helps.
